It really is fun, but must watch all the time so you do not stab yourself with those sharp needles. I have a thick piece of foam, needles, and roving, it is amazing how things take shape. Lots of links and a free download for paperdolls and altered art.

Out and About Paperdoll

I found this great piece of wood from an old end table, all perfectly aged and crackled. I was very inspired about some paperdoll blogs I visited. So I downloaded a freebie doll shape and took it from there. I added lace and material form my stash, along with other objects,,lots of fun.

A Butterfly

A little picture of a butterfly and a tree, I used the transfer method for the butterfly. I like the old fashion method of taping the picture and putting it water, waiting about 5 mins. or so until the backing can be rubbed off gently.

Okay, I need to get away from the computer and get ready for a doc's appt. (sigh) ... this is more fun hopping around on the computer finding great blogs, looking at art ideas, oh well!!! Having a chronic illness is what it is, hard to put it on a shelf for very long, before some little or big thing rears it's head. I have been so lucky having Scleroderma for 30 years or so, some years, many years were pretty good! I am thankful for being here and survived where many haven't for many reasons. So with Spring inspiration and warmer weather it is easier to enjoy the outside, which I love!! I am going to take my camera and take a pic of something today and use it in my art. I have time for 1 more cup of coffee and off to the races.
This project was inspired by the words of Eleanor Roosevelt:

Do one thing every day that scares you.

The altered doll was fun to make, I followed Arlene's directions and then added my embellishments and color. I used a playing card, painted one side, and the challenge is finding the image and adding legs. Also, watching how it fits with on the card.

Love to Doodle

I have always loved to Doodle... on the phone, sitting at the kitchen table as a kid talking to my Mother. I think they are mini journals or logs. I would record so many things that were going on without even realizing it. I should of kept those slips of paper and made a collage. That would of been interesting! Doodle away....

This is from the week challenge from Paper Imagery, just used several paints over text, I wanted the text to show, but it didn't work but liked the colors. The text is a quote from Alfred Hitchcock.
