Fat Book Swap

I am also working on a FAT Book Swap with the theme being Vintage Valentine, and using a technique for the background that no one else is using. When done we will get pages of beautiful techniques with instructions for the backgrounds. I have picked the background of working with cloth and color, which has turned into melted crayon or wax- (do not use your microwave for melting) I learned this the hard way. I then poured randomly on the fabric- the wax dries very quickly so I then ironed the fabric with a sheet over it to protect the iron. I like how it came out along with a little distressing and texturing. Here is my first page, and one with only texturing- they will all come out a little different.

Red Pink and a dash of Green

I am working on a couple of things so I thought I would try and update. I have an ATC of Avery for a swap called Red, Pink and a dash of Green.

Polka Dots & Hearts

An ATC made for the challenge on PID. I used a little pink organza and dot tape for the background, along with the Valentine image.

New Year

I have been trying to get my crafts somewhat organized I know it will take time to get an actual system. I have been reading from the web site organizedstudio@yahoogroups.com , it has great ideas. I like beading, quilting, and art and it can get overwhelming sometimes. So that is a goal for this New Year!

I made a couple of pieces of art for the PID group one is titled "Be", and the other is art using recycled materials, both were fun.! I am way behind on a quilt I was working on in a class called "Quilting through America", it is a beautiful quilt and many time periods with quilting are in the quilt. So I thought if I posted regularly about this and posted a finished block, it may give me incentive to finish. SO any words of encouragement are welcome.
